The Municipality of Kria Vrissi is located in the Prefecture of Pella(North-West part of Central Macedonia). It is 75km far from Thessaloniki.

The recent cencus showed that the Municipality is inhabited by 6.800 people. This number is changeable, of course, if we consider that the Municipality has paid the price og immigration.

Prizna and Plazna, (the words derive from Greek Language) two settlements, were connected and formed Kria Vrissi. In the end of 1930's it is separated from the Community of Esovalta and is declared indepentent Community. In 1990 it is declared Municipality.

Archaioligs excavations showed that Kria Vrissi has interesting findings and historigal elements.
